The article analyzes the evolution of legislation in the field of Social Housing in Britain, highlighting the effects that the process of devolution has had on the field. Thus we refer to the English experience, as much as the Scottish, which have recently undergone a radical change aimed at ensuring greater responsiveness to the changing social needs due to the economic crisis that has expanded the range of subjects who turn to public institutions for the satisfaction of their housing needs.
