"The April 6th 2009 earthquake caused the destruction of many minor centres in the Abruzzo Region, resulting in conditions of severe damage and, in numerous cases, the loss of the urban fabric. These minor centres represent the region's social and cultural heritage, thanks to the presence of historical, environmental, spatial, ... values, so their loss would be a loss for the society as a whole. For this reason, the Commissioner who had the task of managing the post seismic reconstruction of historical centres, STM, or Technical Structure of Mission, has established guidelines to project the so-called "Reconstruction Plan". In these plans there is no attenction to the environmental sustainable aspects so the research activity wanted to understand how operate in these centres to develop solutions able to improve, non only the seismic resistant but also the energy efficiency, the comfort conditions of the contemporary users, the exploitation of the renewable energy. Abstract
