The research focusing on built heritage have used digital resources for several decades in order to allow the right divulgation of its singular features and the organisation of retrofit interventions. Nowadays the Bim procedure represents in this field a reference both in the professional and in the academic environment, but its operational workflow is rarely tailored to particular building technologies. The workflow that is explained in the contribution is instead developed for the study of steel buildings of 20th century and it is optimised according to their architectural and technological qualities, proposing a balanced approach between operational practices of BIM and HBIM. The methodology is applied on a school located in Ostia and designed by the architect Pietro Barucci in the first years of 1960s, a case study that opens to the modeling of several other buildings needing enhancement and improvement actions.
Lo studio del patrimonio edilizio si serve da alcuni decenni di risorse digitali per consentire la corretta divulgazione delle sue qualità distintive e l’organizzazione di programmi di intervento. La metodologia BIM costituisce oramai in questo settore un riferimento sia nel contesto professionale che accademico, ma raramente il workflow operativo è specifico per una particolare tecnologia costruttiva. Il flusso di lavoro presentato in questo contributo è elaborato per lo studio del patrimonio edilizio in acciaio del Novecento e calibrato in funzione delle sue qualità architettoniche e tecnologiche, proponendosi come un approccio mediato tra le prassi operative BIM e HBIM. Il metodo è applicato su una scuola di Ostia progettata dall’architetto Pietro Barucci nei primi anni Sessanta, un caso di studio che apre alla modellazione di una lunga serie di edifici che necessitano di interventi di valorizzazione e riqualificazione.
