The ability to direct yourself in learning is the indispensable condition for acquiring a personal study method. Pupils with specific learning disabilities (SLD) don’t easily acquire this ability due their poor skills. The paper presents a research project about the perceptions of pupils in fifth grade of primary school and in first grade of secondary school (including students with DSA), and about their way of directing themselves in learning and in studying.
