This article presents the results of a study into the condition of non-Italian students of the Sapienza University of Rome. The presented research is the third phase of a broader research project into the transition to work of Sapienza graduates. The data show that Sapienza has, compared to the Italian average, a significant number of foreigners, and that their results are better than the national average. However, some criticalities persist, probably connected to the cultural and organizational structure of our education system. Students generally maintain high motivation to study and positive expectations in terms of significant effects of the course of study on their income and on their lives. This, however, does not eliminate the difficulties related to insertion into the context and disadvantages during the course of study and in transition to work.

Abstract
This article presents the results of a study into the condition of non-Italian students of the Sapienza University of Rome. The presented research is the third phase of a broader research project into the transition to work of Sapienza graduates. The data show that Sapienza has, compared to the Italian average, a significant number of foreigners, and that their results are better than the national average. However, some criticalities persist, probably connected to the cultural and organizational structure of our education system. Students generally maintain high motivation to study and positive expectations in terms of significant effects of the course of study on their income and on their lives. This, however, does not eliminate the difficulties related to insertion into the context and disadvantages during the course of study and in transition to work.Pubblicazioni consigliate
