Headhache affects 20-25% of children with two peaks at 6-8 and 10-13 years. This symptom can be classified as "not hemicranial" and "hemicranial". Among the not hemicranial headaches, chronic sinusitis and nasal obstruction need to be mentioned. The authors evaluated the prevalence of not hemicranial and hemicranial headaches, Rx imaging, nasal resistances, mucociliary transport test, and Secretoty IgA dosage in 200 children with nasal pathologies and in 200 control children. They concluded that a significant correlation exist between nasal disfunction and headache.
