Dalla conoscenza al progetto. Tutela e valorizzazione dell'edilizia di base nei contesti storici dell'Abruzzo

Abstract The great interest in the building wealth, concerning historical towns, even minor ones, and the opportunity to use this wealth again have become very important matters so that in the technological culture debate the main point is “how to do it” giving a definition of the characteristics and qualities of a project that regards “the existing buildings” . A direction that can be covered is the one defined “ the active preservation” or “the controlled transformation” accepting that , the main point for the solution of the problem regarding the consolidated urban systems, must be led towards a moderate relation between the preservation of architectonic , environmental and historical values and the satisfaction of user’ s needs. Therefore, the main position is covered by the project, a design related to transform-ability concept through the knowledge of building historical stratification, including evidences of the material culture, interpretative of the architectural space and entrusted of the designer abilities who has to work “inside the rules” in relation to the connection between analysis and project, and between project and building.
