Abstract
A discussion of polarized and depolarized low frequency light scattering spectra in liquids is presented The shapes of the anisotropic and isotropic contributions are discussed for both liquid water and heavy water as well as for same water-alchools mixtures. The peculiarities of these spectra will be shown by comparison to those of simple liquids, and will be related to the translational and orientational dynamics, which in this frequency range are strongly influenced by the exsistence of H-bonds.File in questo prodotto:
