The proposed paper intends to focus on the urban regeneration and the improvement of the environmental and social conditions in a specific case study, which is the city of Atessa, in the interior areas of Abruzzo region. Starting from the “District Contracts”, national funds aimed to the urban recovery, this city had some relevant experiences carried out in the first 2000s. One of them have been pursued by UNOACINQUE studio with their “single megastructures”, which this paper aims to show.
