The results of a study on the changes of the condylar osseous density in disfunctional TMJ pathology by CT investigation and tomodensitometric elaboration of the images in 45 patients with unilateral cranio-mandibular disfunctional pain syndrome, are reported. An increase of the osseous density in one condylar area at least in all cases was verified in the symptomatic side. The Authors think these CT data very significative, besides confirmong the validity of the high resolution and diagnostic incisivity of the “structural CT Analysis”, also they show that in the early cranio-mandibular disfunctional pain syndrome may be documented an anatomopathological substratum.

Abstract
The results of a study on the changes of the condylar osseous density in disfunctional TMJ pathology by CT investigation and tomodensitometric elaboration of the images in 45 patients with unilateral cranio-mandibular disfunctional pain syndrome, are reported. An increase of the osseous density in one condylar area at least in all cases was verified in the symptomatic side. The Authors think these CT data very significative, besides confirmong the validity of the high resolution and diagnostic incisivity of the “structural CT Analysis”, also they show that in the early cranio-mandibular disfunctional pain syndrome may be documented an anatomopathological substratum.Pubblicazioni consigliate
